Mission statement of workshop: The purpose of this workshop is to teach the basic fundamentals of Photoshop and to teach each participant how to use their own cameras on full manual. Todd and Brad will cover many technical aspects of photography including shutter speed, F-stops and aperture, ISO, depth of field, and tripod use. The Photoshop session will be taught by Greg Dunn (www.digimagery.com), one of the nation’s leading Photoshop experts and print masters. Greg will use a Macintosh computer with Adobe Photoshop CS4 and will project onto a screen what he is doing to an image, how he is doing it, and why. Participants will NOT be using their own computers during this workshop.
What to Bring: A camera (film or digital) and the camera’s INSTRUCTION MANUAL. Extra batteries for your brand of camera. Remember that cool evenings on Lake Michigan can eat up battery life. A tripod that works with your camera is strongly recommended. Dress for the elements. It can get pretty cool on Lake Michigan, even during the summer. We recommend bringing good hiking shoes for walking in the sand and on the waters edge, especially for people who tend to get cold feet. NO NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN COMPUTER, we won’t have enough time to use them
