Pictures of the Month October 2009
"Bass Lake Splendor" - Todd Reed The shores of Bass Lake and the landmark Three Sisters hills between Bass Lake and Lake Michigan were trimmed in fall color on a mid-October morning. I spent two hours waiting for the best moments of magic light to break through the clouds and light the east and west shorelines and the Three Sisters at the same time. Occasionally the light and color were glorious.
"The South Bayou of Hamlin Lake" - Brad Reed For over a century Hamlin Lake has been a special place to thousands of visitors a year for fishing, water sports, relaxing, and camping. Over time, more and more people have been fortunate enough to build homes and vacation resorts on its shores and bayous. On this fall day, the South Bayou was magically lit as the sun was shining and a slight rain was falling.
